MEXP for Winamp2

I don't think many people know about this program, but MEXP for Winamp2 is the best MP3 tag editor / library manager one could hope to use. It blows away anything else out there. MEXP is so smart and so powerful, it's frustrating trying to use anything else, or trying to find anything for Mac OS9 that would come close.

My one warning is to go into setup and turn off "tag correcting" before scanning your mp3 collection, if you don't want MEXP to start auto-filling in empty tags.

I don't get it

Stanfield's ad reads: "There's no such thing as too much exposure. - Al Waxman - "

According to the imdb, Al Waxman died 18 January 2001 during heart surgery -- is that the kind of exposure they're alluding to?

BlogThis!

Why doesn't BlogThis! use the post template settings? I would like to add "target=_top" to links in my linklog so that they will open outside the inline frame within this main blog.

bookmark manager

Am I the only one who uses the sidebar bookmarks ? - MozillaZine Forums: "If the developers could only replicate the speed of the Media List search in WinAmp I would be an instant convert. It might even obviate the need for folders and subfolders."

I've been wondering myself why there isn't a program that does for bookmarks what MEXP or winamp5 or itunes does for mp3s.

5th Golden Trailer Awards Winners and Nominees 2004

From the nominated "I, Robot" trailer:

"Sugar."

"Sugar?"

"For the coffee."

"Oh…"

"Oh, you thought I was calling you 'Sugar'? Hey, you're not that rich."

Oh, that's just so brilliant.

Director Stephen Sommers and family

Describing the character that Rachel Weisz would play in the screenplay to "The Mummy" (1999) Stephen Sommers wrote:

This is EVELYN CARNARVON. We're going to fall in love with her.

Don't we have a say in the matter?

Interesting discussions about shareaza and firewalls (Shareaza trying to send EMAIL from my computer! and ATTN ZoneAlarm users) reveals suggestions for alternatives to Zonealarm -- Kerio or Sygate.

SDIO HP V0.87

I installed the ViewEXIF app (EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File Format, the format in which cameras store metadata in digital images) and the software field for the pine cone photo says "SDIO HP V0.87"

I don't know what it means, and there are no Google hits on it, but it's interesting.

Hello + BloggerBot forum link

Since I'm learning how to use Picassa's Hello + BloggerBot for posting my photos here, I thought it would help to post a link to the Hello + Blogger Forum

Hello is quite handy, but I wish I could add Titles in addition to picture captions to I don't have to always go back and re-edit my entries. Also, as diegov points out in the same thread 'the option to use the "date picture taken" attribute as the post date' would be a useful feature.

While I'm at it, I should also post a link to the Blogger Forum

Bloggerbot Tip #1: By clicking on "Edit a Post" on the hello blogger picture, you can jump to an edit-able version of your blogger page.

The paper boxes for the toronto star seemed to have switched to a really intense blue -- almost verging on purple, although you couldn't tell from this photo.

new iPAQs with built-in cameras

Two of the new iPAQs have built in cameras. Code-named Gable and Monroe, they are coming in July. With the lens buried in the back of the iPAQ, I wonder if manual focus is possible.

They're everywhere!
